Dedicated

Why I'm Running

I’m running to connect communities through a dedication to the details and a holistic approach to policies that will make government work for the residents of Seattle.

I was born in Seattle and I love this city. I know how great this city can be for everyone! I feel the urge to make this a truly livable place where we interact as a community.

I have a deeply lived experience of many of the issues Seattleites are facing today and have worked effectively in the current system. I see this city through a lens from both directions, which gives me a valuable perspective, seeing how people are affected by systems that are not set up for everyday people, and understanding where the gaps exist in our institutional frameworks so that we can get to the nexus of the problem. I want to change how we do business to make our city more livable and accessible for everyone.

As a community organizer doing the hard work of helping people find food and housing resources, I’m ready to represent the ideas and perspectives of those who need to be uplifted and given a place at the table.

With a focus on Seattle issues, not national issues, my goal is to assess what processes are helping residents and what are hindering them. Asking the right questions and being willing to adapt is how we can lessen bureaucracy and help everyone thrive.
